At Gurukul Pleasanton Academy (GPA™), the Chess Learning Program is designed to help children improve focus, concentration, patience, and strategic thinking. Chess is one of the most beneficial mind games for children as it develops critical thinking abilities and teaches students how to plan, analyze, and make thoughtful decisions.
Our chess program is conducted under the guidance of experienced chess instructors who introduce students to the fundamentals of the game, including chessboard setup, piece movements, opening strategies, defensive techniques, and advanced game tactics. Children gradually learn how to think ahead, improve problem-solving skills, and develop discipline through regular practice sessions and friendly competitions.
Chess also helps students strengthen memory, improve mathematical abilities, and build confidence in decision-making. At GPA™, we encourage children of all skill levels to participate, whether they are beginners learning the basics or advanced learners improving their competitive skills.
Through the Chess Learning Program, Gurukul Pleasanton Academy aims to nurture intellectual growth while making learning enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding for every child.
